Liturgy

The pastor oversees the liturgical life of the Church. Assisted by ministry coordinators, various volunteers/ministers are given the opportunity to serve God, the Church, and their fellow church-members in the liturgical ministries they feel God is calling them to do.

Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Margaret Weiland, Coordinator (English)

Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the Ordinary Ministers (priests and deacons), in distributing the Body and Blood of the Lord at the celebration of the Eucharist. After receiving proper training, they are specifically deputized by the Bishop, upon the recommendation of the Pastor, to assist for a prescribed period of time (normally three years).

Lectors

Margaret Weiland, Coordinator (English)

Lectors proclaim the Scriptures during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Any Catholic who is 16 years old and above and felt called to be lector may volunteer. Participation in a training session is required.

Altar Servers

Jerry Lubshina, Coordinator (English)

Omar Aguilar, Coordinator (Espanol)

Altar Servers render service to the Lord in closest possible way - in the sanctuary - where the Body and Blood of the Lord become present in the appearance of bread and wine through the ministry of the priest. Such an awesome responsibility demands dedication, attention and most of all love of the Lord. To fulfill this function, Fr Cesar and Mr Lubshina conduct Altar Server training during Spring, Fall and Winter for new servers, and for older servers who just want to get a "refresher course" in altar serving.
